How to join the server

The server IP should already be in the modpack, but if it isn't, you can find it here.

Steps to Join the Server

​

1. Make sure you are in the Discord server at Discord.gg/kitsun.

2. Open your Minecraft client and join the server using the appropriate IP address.

3. Open the "🔗・link" channel in the discord.

4. With the code that appears on your screen, enter the code using "/link".

5. Enter the server, and you should be ready for Kitcraft!‎

A few things to note.

​

Please do not update the modpack if prompted, as this may cause issues with existing mods and could potentially break the modpack. You can play the modpack as is, but feel free to add your own mods if you prefer. But please do not ask us for assistance if things break because you modified the modpack. Please also make sure to configure the modpack to your liking.

Server Rules

​

Breaking rules may result in warnings, temp- or permanent bans. Use our forum for appealing.

1. Be Respectful

- No harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or slurs toward any player or staff.
- No targeted insults, doxxing, or attempts to publicly shame players.
- Keep chat civil, disagreements are allowed, toxicity is not.

2. Chat & Voice Conduct

- No spamming, excessive caps, or repeated emoji/ping abuse.
- No advertising other servers, services, or Discord invites without permission.
- Keep voice channels clear of purposeful disruption (music/noise if others ask you to stop).
- NSFW content, pornographic links, or explicit descriptions are banned.

3. Cheating & Exploits

- No use of hacks, mods, or clients that give unfair advantage (X-ray, fly, auto-clickers, etc.).
- No duplication, item-inventory glitches, or exploiting bugs to gain advantage. Report bugs to staff; do not abuse them.
- Any client-side mod must be approved by staff if it affects gameplay fairness.

4. Griefing & Theft

- No griefing, stealing, or vandalizing of builds that are not explicitly public or marked.
- Do not destroy, alter, or remove another player’s items, chests, farms, or redstone without permission.
- Respect claimed/protected land and server builds.

5. Building Rules

- Community areas are only for shops and spawn decoration
- No offensive, pornographic, or hateful builds.
- Use reasonable spacing and proportion in public areas; avoid massive lag-inducing farms near spawn.
- If your build causes performance issues, staff may request relocation or removal.
- No build zone has been established where factories cannot be built.

6. PvP & Combat

- PvP is allowed only in designated arenas or with explicit player consent.
- No spawn-killing, spawn-trapping, or combat in safe zones.
- No combat logging (disconnecting to avoid death) penalties apply.

7. Economy, Trading & Shops

- Use the server’s economy/shop systems as instructed; price-fixing scams or scamming players are prohibited.
- Always complete trades transparently; staff can mediate disputes, but are not liable for private trades.

8. Alternate Accounts & Ban Evasion

- Using alternate accounts to bypass punishments is strictly prohibited.
- Sharing banned accounts to get back in is also banned.
- You can only play with 1 Minecraft account.

9. Impersonation & Staff Interaction

- Do not impersonate staff, other players, or streamers.
- Respect staff decisions; arguing calmly is allowed abusive behaviour toward staff will escalate penalties.

10. Content & Media

- No posting of malware, pirated software, or illegal content.
- Keep media and links safe for minors; avoid mature content.

11. Server Resources & Performance

- Avoid building lag-heavy redstone contraptions or massive entity farms near spawn or hub areas. Staff may ask you to move or disable them.
- Report large lag sources to staff instead of attempting quick fixes yourself.

12. Reporting & Evidence

- When reporting rule violations, provide timestamps, coordinates, screenshots, or video if possible.
- False or malicious reports may result in penalties.

13. Warnings, Appeals & Discipline

- Minor infractions receive warnings; repeated or severe violations can lead to temporary or permanent bans.
- Appeal procedure: message staff in Appeals using Kitbot with your IGN, ban reason (if known), and a short explanation. Appeals are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

14. Privacy & Personal Info

- Do not ask for or share personal information (real names, addresses, phone numbers) of others.
- Respect other players’ privacy.

15. Server Events & Competitions

- Follow event-specific rules posted for each event.
- Cheating in events will result in disqualification and may carry additional penalties.

16. Enforcement & Rule Changes

- Staff enforce rules at their discretion; punishments scale with intent and impact.
- Rules may be updated; continued play indicates acceptance of the current ruleset.

TLDR

- Be respectful. No hate or harassment.
- No cheating, griefing, or stealing.
- PvP only where allowed.
- No advertising or impersonation.
- Follow staff requests and appeal if needed.

By interacting with the server, you automatically agree to these rules; staff have the final word in any situation. Though these rules may be regularly defined, Staff can interpret these rules and apply them as they see fit.
